Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity

CE-AI is a tool for learning, studying and building, not for getting around the rules of a test.

Effective date: October 12, 2026

Academic integrity

Calculators that can connect to the internet, communicate wirelessly or use AI aren't allowed in standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, AP and IB exams. Most schools don't allow them in classroom tests and quizzes either. A CE-AI calculator is one of those calculators, even when its WiFi isn't in use.

  • Don't bring a CE-AI calculator into an exam, or use it on any test, quiz or assignment where internet-connected devices or AI tools aren't allowed.
  • Do keep a calculator without CE-AI for exams, and check your test's calculator policy before test day.
  • Breaking these rules can lead to cancelled scores, failing grades or disciplinary action. That's your responsibility, not CalcWorks'.

We design and market CE-AI for homework help, studying, programming and learning how hardware works. We may refuse to sell to, or support, anyone who tells us they intend to use CE-AI to cheat.

Using CalcWorks services

When you use calcworks.tech, the file transfer service, or a CE-AI calculator's online features, you may not:

  • break any law, or help someone else break one;
  • upload files you don't have the right to share, or that infringe anyone's copyright or other rights;
  • upload malware or files designed to damage calculators, computers or data;
  • try to access files or calculators that aren't yours, for example by guessing, collecting or sharing other people's pairing codes;
  • overload, disrupt, scrape or work around the limits or security of our services, or use automated tools against them except the CE-AI firmware itself;
  • use the AI assistant to create content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm. Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy also applies;
  • harass, threaten or harm others.

Security research

If you find a vulnerability, please report it privately through our contact form (topic "Security report") with enough detail for us to reproduce it, and give us reasonable time to fix it before sharing it. Don't access, change or delete other people's data while testing. We won't take legal action against good-faith research that follows these guidelines.

Reporting misuse

To report misuse of our services or a file on the transfer service, use our contact form with the topic "Report misuse". For copyright complaints, see the DMCA section of our Terms of Use.

Enforcement

We may remove content, block pairing codes, or suspend access to our services for anyone who breaks this policy, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities.
